I wasn’t a fan. I see all of the great reviews, and that is why I came. The people that checked me in and took the initial pics of my tooth were great, but I found the Dr to be kind of rude. He seemed to be giving me a hard time about not coming sooner, when I was there for that exact reason. I was trying to get some answers and start following an action plan. The exchange didn’t inspire me to come back to him any time soon. The prices seemed way too high. I said I didn’t want to be sedated but he kept going back to it. I felt like he was not really listening to me and I felt like he was kind of rude. I get that dentists like to tell you to make sure you keep up on the routine visits, I just felt the way the Dr did it was condescending and 1-2 of the things he said were kind of insulting. I get it, the truth hurts. But the bedside manner could be better. I paid $173 and they didn’t do anything other than just look at one tooth. I was told they would give me a breakdown on a “new patient” plan with an X-ray of my whole mouth and a cleaning etc, but I never saw that breakdown. Just the quotes for the work they wanted to do on my broken tooth. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this initial visit, but I felt like they didn’t really do much at all for that $173. I was told that was a discount because it was my first visit, I walked out feeling dissatisfied.

If I could give 10 stars, I would from the front office, staff the technicians, and Dr. Michael I could not say enough how professional they all are. Martina at the front desk Was quick to call me after I left a message over the weekend with an abscessed tooth. They write away, squeezed me in and never did. I feel rushed at all. Dr. Michael took his time and explained things to me and.made me feel at ease, and otherwise very anxious setting..

My previous dentist, and his name escapes me, made me a temporary bridge more than twenty years ago. Dr. Hank Michael took over his practice, built new offices, and he is still taking care of me and my temporary bridge. I am a singer, and he made an upper denture for me that fits perfectly, I don't need to use any adhesive, and it has never fallen out. Recently, I had a cavity, and he fixed that too. He is a pleasant person and his dentistry is painless. I highly recommend Sarasota Dentistry.

Dr. Michael's staff were very efficient and got me in to see him after the weekend for an urgent appointment. He was very clear about treatment options and even investigated further to see if their were any other underlying problems. I appreciate the time he spent to explain things clearly. Will be following up with the treatments suggested.
